Redmi Buds 5A Full review

Xiaomi is going to organize Smarter Living 2024 event in India. This event (Smarter Living 2024) is scheduled on 23 April 2024.

Along with this, the company is going to bring many new products for its Indian customers. Apart from Redmi Pad SE, the company is also bringing Redmi Buds 5A. Redmi Buds 5A will be the company’s next budget T-Buds.

Say tata-bye-bye to noise now

The company is introducing Redmi Buds 5A buds saying say goodbye to distractions and hello to pure, uninterrupted sound.

That is, the user will get a better sound experience with Xiaomi’s new earbuds. There will be no problem with the surrounding noise in the buds. Pure sound can be heard from the buds.

With what features are the buds coming

The new earbuds (Redmi Buds 5A) are being brought with ANC (Active noise cancellation) support and 12mm dynamic drivers.

The buds can be purchased in black and white color options with in-ear design. The buds are being brought with Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity support for Google Fast Pair.

Redmi Buds 5 were also launched this year

Let us tell you, before the Redmi Buds 5A buds, the company launched Redmi Buds 5 in February this year. Redmi Buds 5 was launched by the company for Rs 2999.

These buds (Redmi Buds 5) were brought with three transparency modes Regular, Enhanced Voice and Enhance Ambient Sound.

Redmi Buds 5 buds were brought with hi-fi sound experience with 12.4mm dynamic drivers and titanium diaphragm. However, these buds of Redmi were brought with Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity.

It is expected that the company can bring the upcoming earbuds Redmi Buds 5A at a lower price.

Redmi Buds 5A review: Loud and bassy, but could have been clearer

At this price, it’s pretty rare to find a device that is this loud. While listening to songs or watching videos, I heard everything loud, but that left me looking out for more clarity. Still, at this price, it was pretty good compared to the other products in the market. Besides that, the 12 mm dynamic bass driver compensates for clarity, and I would prefer to have better bass rather than a little more clarity. Getting on to the microphone, call clarity was good, and I heard everything loud and clear from my end.

My sounds were somewhat muffled to the other person yet audible for me to grasp whatever they said.

Design of Redmi Buds 5A

The earbuds feature a pretty standard look that you would expect from anything available in the market. They carry a pretty minimalist design. The buds are pretty secure, and even when nodding your head to your favorite track, they do not fall out. The case by itself is compact enough and comes with a matte finish to give that nice feel when it is held. The buds are offered in two different color variants, which include Timeless White and Bass Black.

Redmi Buds 5A review: Bluetooth v5.4 and Google Fast Pair

Bluetooth v5.4 and Google Fast Pair The buds are pretty easy to pair with my Android device; it comes with Google Fast Pair. After the first pairing, to simply get connected, all that is needed is to pop the lid of the case open, and it will connect to the smartphone in a flash. Thanks to the latest Bluetooth v5.4, the device has maintained a strong connection. There was hardly any lag between audio and video or while playing games.

Redmi Buds 5A review: Touch controls

Redmi really well sorts out the touch controls. It was more efficient in the Buds 5A than Buds 5, and the response rate was speedy while switching from one song to the other. Easy, the same way, when you pick up or end a call.

Final verdict

The fact that this device has met all my expectations makes it placed very firmly in this highly competitive market. Ignoring all the minor shortcomings at this price, the Redmi Buds 5A can be one of the best earbuds you can get.
