Apple Watch Series 10 may support Apple’s Depth app. Apple Watch Series 10 or Watch X could reportedly be announced at the September 9 “It’s Glorytime” Apple event.

Over the last few weeks, some details related to the successor of the Apple Watch Series 9 have been leaking, indicating that it will arrive with a host of major features and upgrades. A new report says that the watch will feature a bigger size than the existing 41mm and 45mm display options. It’s likely to get an updated heart rate sensor that will also improve water resistance.

Apple Watch Series 10 Features Expected According to a report by 9to5Mac, the Apple Watch Series 10 may receive an updated ECG or Heart Rate sensor that’s likely to return more accurate results and unlock other features. 

An earlier leak mentioned it might support sleep apnea detection. The new report adds that the process of collection of health data may also see some upgrades. For example, new algorithms in the iPhone Health app could read data collected by the heart rate sensor to help detect atrial fibrillation instead of the watch processing the data.

Supposedly, the health-tracking feature on the Apple Watch Series 10 supports this. The latest Apple Watch Series 9 is available with water resistance of 50 meters. However, this watch is not meant for water sports or water adventure, like scuba diving. In contrast, the Apple Watch Ultra offers 100-meter water resistance and is good for high-speed water sports down to 40 meters.

The Apple Watch Series 10 reportedly comes with a rating for high-velocity water sports at depths of as much as 20 meters. The next smartwatch is also tipped to receive support for the Depth app of Apple, which is currently limited to the Watch Ultra.

It also claims the Apple Watch Series 10 will come in options for 44mm and 48mm sizes, while the Series 9 is available in 41mm and 45mm. In addition to a new display, the watches will likely boast new watch faces.
